I am a highly skilled Chef with over 30 years of experience in cooking. I started cooking at a very young age because I was inspired to cook by my Mother. She knew by the age of five that I would be a great cook and showed me everything she knew. My food was loved and received well by all and I was given the nick name Chef Teen Teen by all my friends in the neighborhood.
I started to hone my craft by accepting a job at a local Applebee’s, there I was a Prep Cook and began to learn how the back end of a kitchen really worked. By age Twenty-One, I purchased my first home and began selling dinners out of my kitchen. It was a huge success and it was then, I knew this was my passion. From there I moved on to becoming a line cook at Victory Brewing Company. I was responsible for assigning tasks to back end workers, prepping, and preparing food.
After, some time I accepted an opportunity to be a Head Chef at a local Soul food restaurant called Filet of Soul. There I was able to cook and prep the food I had so much love and passion for. It was my first love much like the love I had for my Mother and her cooking. My time there was spent expediting lines, creating menus, training, supervising staff, managing payroll while keeping safety and hygiene measures in place. This was a huge responsibility, but it was great experience that ushered me into partnering with the catering business Legendary Creations.
I am now looking to expand my catering into a local restaurant where others can enjoy a great dining experience and my appetizing dishes.
